Mis Sueños

In 2016 I was invited to participate in the 2nd annual HUE Mural Festival in Houston, Tx. I completed this mural from concept to completion in just under a week. The challenge on this project was not knowing where or what I would be painting for the mural festival. The mural itself is a surrealistic self portrait, featuring an odd figure discovering the world around him. The boy in his stomach represents how each of us exists as children in the shell of who we have become today. This piece represents fears, dreams, and hopes of overcoming adversity and finding beauty through our surroundings. The bird represents hope and beauty in our life journey.
