A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I’m a Baylor University Alum, where I received my BFA in Graphic Design. I actually spent the first two years at Baylor running away from art because in my 17 year old brain “you don’t go to college for art.” I finally gave in and the rest is history, as they say. “The Rest is history part” is a little misleading, implying that everything was smooth sailing. I hustled and did what I could to gather internship experience and ultimately my first gig at Schaefer Ad Co. in Fort Worth, TX. So far the journey has been pretty wild, but great.
Currently, I am an Associate Creative Director at TracyLocke in Dallas, TX with my largest clients being Frito-Lay and Pepsi. I am an obsessive collaborator, and thrive on a team of like minded “creatives” regardless of title. I’m lucky to be a part of a creative industry, but in order to make the creative work, I truly believe its a team effort. Of course this means pushes form the creative team and client, but I like to push and ask questions across teams, and pick the brain of strategy and media if something doesn’t feel quite right. In my current role, it is often my job to be the first to ask the questions, and at the same time have the ability to know the answer five steps ahead. I’m a disruptor, I’m mischievous with intent, and I’m passionate about the work and ideas behind them. It has been my goal when working on everyday projects to find the nuggets that make the ordinary, great. I’ve turned Mobil 1 benefits into disastrous villains in need of defeat; I’ve discovered islands in the shape of a Dorito, and I’ve helped own the celebration moment of the Super Bowl with confetti bags and button.
When I am not working behind a screen, you may find me on the side of a building on my next mural mission. My largest project to date is located at the Old Ranch Styles Beans building on the East side of town, which is still visible when you visit Cowtown. In all honesty, I’ve taken a small break from my mural adventures in pursuit of a greater calling: parenthood. Believe me, its equally as challenging, stressful, and messy. If not more. I have two kids, Colton and Chloe, who give me a reason to keep going, to keep fighting, and to keep dreaming bigger than yesterday.
